**Role Summary**

Reporting to the Hydrovac Superintendent, the Hydrovac Labourer will assist Hydrovac Operators with various tasks. Based out of our shop in Fredericton, PE, and working on construction sites across Prince Edward Island, this role includes the setup and takedown of hoses and tubes, among other support duties.

**What You’ll Do**
- Set up job sites and Vac Trucks to ensure efficiency and safety
- Assist the operator by anticipating needs in advance
- Set up remote hoses and tubes for excavations
- Perform pressure washing and flagging duties
- Follow safety procedures both at the shop and on-site
- Signal and guide vehicles and equipment into position
- Assist with daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Conduct job site safety evaluations and implement preventative measures
- Communicate professionally and deliver excellent customer service
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform light equipment repairs
- Assist the CCTV Camera Operator with equipment setup and takedown
- Maintain cleanliness and order in work units and the shop
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards set forth by the PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act, General Regulations, and Island Coastal's Safety Management System
- Identify and report health and safety concerns or help implement solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned

**What You Bring**
- Previous experience with hydrovac, trucking, vacuum trucks, or camera operations is preferred
- Experience in labour-intensive roles and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work independently in a team-oriented, safety-focused environment
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Positive, goal-oriented attitude
- Availability to begin work at 6:00 AM
- Willingness to work long shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Availability for on-call shifts
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
