We are looking for a reliable and responsible person to fill a full-time job at our dairy farm in Surrey, BC. This is not a general labour position, although various labour tasks are required. The position is for someone who has experience operating machinery and equipment and knows how to spot issues, troubleshoot, and complete minor repairs. ONLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM **LOCAL** CANDIDATES WITH PR OR CITIZENSHIP. **Duties**: Time spent at work will vary depending on the season and projects underway but includes barn chores, feeding, relief milking, field work, maintenance/construction tasks, and other activities related to livestock management. The farm is a 500+ cow dairy, 600 head feedlot and 600+ acres forage production. Modern facilities and machinery including mixer wagon, mower, manure spreader, rake, tedder etc. Our philosophy is that everyone has a turn at doing most things on the farm. Variety prevents boredom. Must be quiet and calm working with cattle and be physically fit/healthy. **Required Experience/Qualifications"** - Previous experience with livestock and machinery/equipment preferred - Demonstrated experience working effectively with machinery - Comfortable working with large animals - Valid Drivers License with a good driving record - Class 1 Drivers License considered an asset - Positive attitude - Team player - Responsible and able to work independently - Very reliable and dependable - Canadian residency status (via Citizenship or Permanent Residency) Proficient in speaking and understanding English **Other Job Information**:This is not a management position but at our farm, we treat everyone with respect and value opinions on how the farm operates.
