**Full Job Description**

While being a part of Care Crew Solutions, you will provide in-home support to help clients age well in place in the comfort of their own home.

You work well within a team and are respectful, approachable, and build strong relationships.

You are calm during a critical moment, stay positive, respond decisively, and take accountability.

Must be willing to travel within Kawartha Lakes and surrounding areas to support clients.

One of the following criteria:

- Successful completion of an Ontario Ministry of Education-approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) from a Community College or a school approved by the National Association of Career Colleges **OR**
- RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy students with successful completion of Year 1
- Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray (within the last two years).
- Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid Certificate.
- Criminal Reference Check and vulnerable sector check upon hire confirming absence of a criminal history/record.
- A valid driver’s license, class G, and vehicle for which you are insured and the ability to drive within Kawartha Lakes Region.
- A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of clients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with clients with significant and complex care needs.
- Experience working in the community as a PSW is an asset**.**
- Possess a compassionate and flexible nature, and a client-centered approach to caregiving.
- Adherence to all policies, including confidentiality.
- Ability to accept verbal and/or written direction, perform delegated tasks.
- Ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the job.
- Good interpersonal, communication & time-management skills,
- Prior experience with dementia an asset.
- Medication administration course - Pharmacology Certificate for PSWs an asset.
- Food Handlers Certification (within the last 2 years) an asset.
- Positive and respectful work environment.

Part-time permanent positions available with shift work. Starting rate of pay will be based on experience and certifications with terms and conditions of employment.

Scheduled hours include but are not limited to:

- Days
- Nights
- Weekends
- Holidays

Casual business dress with company-provided shirts; 1:1 care ratio.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
