Thunder Bay, Canada ecostep Full time

ecostep is looking for energy advisors to join our growing team. We need advisors to perform energy assessments for residential and small commercial customers to support government and utility rebate programs. Applicants should have experience performing energy audits and a good understanding of building science and technologies.

Advisor must be from and/or based in Northern Ontario.

Travel is required. Advisor may be required to travel to remote communities to perform audits.

Advisor may be required to install 'basic measures' (e.g. lighting) in customer homes as part of the audit depending on the program being supported.

ecostep offers competitive rates along with flexible working hours. Training will be provided.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform energy audits on homes and/or small businesses
- Discuss energy efficiency and conservation tips with customers
- Confirm eligibility of customer by collecting and reviewing documentation
- Complete and submit results and photos of energy audit to a CRM system
- Possibly install basic measures including lighting depending on program
- Possibly complete blower door test depending on program
- Possibly model home, complete and submit file (HOT2000) depending on program

**Experience & Requirements**
- EXCELLENT customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail, professional approach to being an energy advisor
- Solid understanding of building science, technology and equipment of homes and/or small businesses. Experience and knowledge with lighting, HVAC and refrigeration is an asset.
- Good computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) with the ability to learn new software programs
- Own transportation with valid driver’s license, a good driving record and insurance
- Own cell phone, computer with Windows operating system and tools
- Active REA license with NRCan may be required for certain programs. CEM or CEA designation is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
