We are seeking a junior to intermediate **Payroll & Benefits Administrator**who can advance to a senior level over the next 3-5 years and independently handle all aspects of a full-cycle bi-weekly (hourly) payroll. This position will report directly to the Senior Payroll and Benefits Administrator and will assist with processing full cycle (hire to termination), payroll for approximately 120 hourly employees using Vista accounting software.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Payroll**:

- Timely & accurate preparation of hourly payroll calculations to run a biweekly payroll.
- Reconciling payroll records - review, verify and data enter timesheets.
- Review payroll data to ensure that all transactions have been recorded correctly.
- Input payroll changes including new hires, terminations, deductions Identify process inefficiencies, issues, or concerns and assist in process improvement implementation.
- Prepare employee employment letters as required.
- Maintain and track apprentice hours and administer wage increases as per the schedule.
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan Employment Standards as it relates to overtime and payroll compliance.
- Prepare and manage modified work arrangements and renewals.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Assist with preparing year-end reporting and filings.
- Assist with personal mileage calculations for year-end T4 tax purposes.
- Assist with creating T4 slips and ROEs.

**Benefits & Disability Management**:

- Coordinate all employee benefits, including employee activations/deactivations.
- Respond to employee queries concerning benefits and pay.
- Approve and track internal benefit claim programs for payroll.
- Manage and renew all Professional certifications.
- Prepare, track, and monitor the apprenticeship program and associated documentation.
- Assist with disability and workers compensation claims.
- Assist with researching and recommending changes in benefit programs offered to ensure employee satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have 2-3 years experience working within a full cycle bi-weekly (hourly) payroll processing environment.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) is preferred, or extensive experience in payroll.
- Experience working in the construction industry is considered an asset.
- Ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential material.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing workloads and tasks.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
