**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for the organization and the supervision of the daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The Team Leader acts as a resource and leader for staff for the department and exhibits leadership, advanced technical knowledge and sound professional judgement and initiative. The Team Leader plays an integral role in the day-to-day delivery of Diagnostic imaging services and is a key liaison to other hospital departments and services, providing effective communication and collaboration to ensure the most effective, efficient, and highest quality of care to patients. In addition to the supervisory role, the successful applicant will also perform clinical duties within their fields of competency.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Minimum (3) three years’ recent experience required working as a technologist in a hospital setting
- Formal management and/or leadership course preferred
- Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi-modality/site imaging department.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of contacts including but not limited to, peers, senior management, front line staff, vendors
- Ensures competency, maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
- Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
- Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-developed decision making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem solving skills
- Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- Monday to Friday days with potential of evening, weekend and holiday coverage
**Compensation and Incentives**:
$33.80 - $42.68 hourly
