**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

**Job description**

**Summary**

The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC), located at 120 Promenade du Portage in Gatineau Quebec, is looking for an experienced high energy bilingual Server to join their ranks in their upmarket cafe.

The Servers main area of work would be in the Café Bouleau space. The café focusses on indigenous cuisines, backed by a from scratch food program and boasts a four-group head Rancilio coffee machine with a curated coffee and tea program by the finest local merchants.

**Job Duties**
- Greet and seat customers
- Take customer's orders and serve the orders
- Creation and curation of the tea and coffee program when required
- Implement, oversee, and maintain the daily cleaning of all coffee and tea related machinery and food counters
- Fulfil internal and external catering orders punctually and with mínimal supervision
- Ensure all coffee and tea finished products are up to the standards set forth by the leadership
- Proactively raise any maintenance or quality concerns regarding the food, coffee and tea program to the Food and Beverage leadership team
- Work with the Food and Beverage leadership team to create and implement recipes and training procedures
- Café Bouleau is a customer facing operation, high levels of hospitality and customer care are paramount.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a server in a high caliber environment
- A high level of sanitation and hygiene
- High level to attention-to-detail
- Friendly, positive, high energy and happy personality
- Embodies the highest levels of hospitality
- High levels of communication
- Knowledge of allergens and the agility to work around them
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Bilingualism (English & French) is mandatory

**Work Conditions**
- Must be available weekends and holidays to fit the needs of the organization
- Overtime as required
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Physical ability to lift up to 40lb.
