Zuccarini Importing and Distributing Co. Ltd. is a family-run espresso equipment business that has been in operation since 1954. We are Canada’s premier importer of fine Italian espresso equipment for home, office, and commercial use. We also feature an extensive line of barista supplies as well as provide barista workshops for home and commercial clients.

Our Espresso Machine Service Technician will play a key role in surpassing client service expectations through their knowledge of espresso machine model capabilities, engineering, parts, and maintenance. The Espresso Machine Service Technician will additionally provide an exceptional barista training and post-training support experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Communicate Zuccarini Importing's core values by demonstrating genuine, positive and thoughtful hospitality and service in the day to day execution of duties

Ability to earnestly and efficiently trouble-shoot, maintain and service all espresso-related equipment including grinders, water softeners, and specialized accessories as follows:

- Understand how to operate all equipment properly and safely as well as communicate any deficiencies and follow up with clients to make sure all needs are appropriately being met
- Ensure client’s workspace is left in tidy working condition post-service
- Conduct voltage, resistance and other tests using electrical test equipment
- Prepare written estimates of repair costs - ability to precisely calculate and price out client services in-house/off-site
- Plan service routes
- Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts
- Diagnose faults, using testing devices
- Repair electrical appliances and components
- Replace faulty components
- Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment
- Use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic programming apparatus to repair, adjust and reprogram appliances
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents in Microsoft Office
- Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Basic experience with an accounting or inventory software program (knowledge of Spire accounting program is an asset)
- Provide after-training support for both commercial and domestic clients
- Knowledge of Zuper field service management program is an asset

**Skill Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate in written and spoken English is required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial on-the-road or in-shop servicing of espresso machines
- Experience/training on major espresso machine brands including, but not limited to: Nuova Simonelli, Victoria Arduino, Elektra or other major brands: Faema, La Cimbali, Rancillio, La Marzocco, Slayer etc
- General experience in the Coffee Industry in any or all roasting/cupping/specific barista training techniques

**Area of specialization**
- Training and professional development: Train commercial and domestic baristas in the proper operation of equipment: maintenance, drink preparation techniques, options and customization, menu recommendations, and general operations guidance and advice
