Aquafit Instructor

We are looking for Aquafitness instructors ( **Friday 9:30 am to 10:15 am**) that want to bring their love of teaching to the water for our Aquafitness classes This position is primarily responsible, under the supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor for organizing and teaching our Aquafitness classes Shallow end and Deep End participants are included during the class

**Key job accountabilities include but are not limited to**:

- Instruct and lead group aquatic fitness classes.
- Plans, designs, and implements Aquafitness classes for all ages and abilities,
- You’re comfortable observing students during class and giving instruction on proper form and technique.
- Ensures that the equipment is in place and operational and that the equipment is stored away after use.
- Works closely with the Aquatics Coordinator to introduce new and exciting class options to our participants.
- Ensures all possible safety measures are observed.
- Uses practical and current knowledge and skills to guide and teach participants in aqua fitness settings.
- Communicates and enforces facility and class policies and procedures.
- Provides excellent customer service, including interacting with participants and/or parents to answer questions and resolve problems. Must be able to maintain a calm composure when working with angry or upset customers.
- Attends and participates in meetings and training sessions.
- Reports any situations and/or areas of concern to the supervisor

**Desired Qualifications**

**Only those with one of the following current fitness certifications will be considered for the aquafitness Instructor position**

WaterArt - Aquafiness Instructor
Canadian Aquafitness Leaders Alliance Instructor

Group Land Fitness certification.
&
CPR & AED
- You are an enthusiastic and professional individual with excellent teaching, communication, and customer service skills

at least an year of group fitness instructor experience with previous experience in running aquatics-based exercise classes discipline

Our fitness facility provides an extensive array of personal training options and group fitness classes including spinning, body tone, boot camp, ZUMBA®, and Circuit 55+. We also provide various yoga classes, squash lessons, boxing, and aquatic classes. **Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 per week
