triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking a **Student Services Coordinator (Housing and Events) **to join our team at the Mississauga campus located **inside Square One Mall**.
**Primary** **Purpose**:
The primary purpose of the **Student Services Coordinator (Housing and Events)** is to ensure effective coordination of diverse, campus wide student events and other support services with campus staff, community partners and volunteers. To conceptualize, plan and conduct student events, build student morale, and create a positive student life experience.
The Coordinator will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity, and fostering inclusion.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and promote activities to enrich the student experience throughout their time at school. Some examples of activities may include:
- Coordinate recreation activities with local fitness center partner.
- Organize cultural celebrations on campus (such as Canada Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Diwali, Holi Festival, Day of the Dead, India Republic Day, Chinese New Year).
- Coordinate Day trips for students (Provincial Parks, Wonderland, Niagara Falls, Museums, Art Galleries).
- Assist students in setting up student clubs (Toastmasters, International Women’s Club, Cyber Security, Robotics, Chess).
- Introduce students to all services available to them both on campus and in the community.
- Assist and advice students on their housing needs in locations of their choice and based on budgets.
- Promote activities and publish a calendar of events every month at the campus and on the student web.
- Conduct student surveys to determine the preferences of students for events and clubs and plan rollouts accordingly.
- Work with the Campus Director to plan and organize graduation ceremonies; identify suitable locations, vendors, performers; coordinate with marketing and connect with graduates to inform them of the graduation protocols.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- College diploma in a related field is preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of administrative work experience in education or a comparable educational environment.
- Experience coordinating group activities or events is required.
- Very strong organizational skills.
- Experience working with students or young adults is an asset.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills are mandatory.
- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
**Hours of Work**:
The hours for this position will be 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Attendance on **weekend** events required.
**Start Date**:
The scheduled start date for this opportunity is immediate.
