4-H is a youth development organization that guides, supports and inspires Alberta’s greatest resource, the youth of Alberta. **About 4-H Alberta’s Intro-Club Program**4-H Intro Clubs are a **grant-funded initiative** and an established part of 4-H Alberta’s programming. Designed for youth aged **9 to 15**, these six-week clubs offer a fun and flexible introduction to 4-H through hands-on projects and activities that build confidence, leadership, and communication skills.
Clubs meet once a week for two hours and include key elements of traditional 4-H—such as record books, project work, and community service—delivered in an accessible, short-term format. **The structure of each club may vary** to reflect different themes, interests, or seasonal opportunities.
In addition to the core six-week clubs, **bonus events are offered throughout the year** to keep members engaged and connected to the broader 4-H experience. Some of these will be on weekends.
With multiple clubs offered across Calgary and surrounding communities throughout the fall, winter, and spring, the Intro-Club program is an ideal entry point for families looking for a low-commitment way to explore 4-H.
