As a Contract Analyst, you will join our team, reporting to our Team Lead, Contracts Administration. Office and hybrid opportunities are available.
As a key member of the Montrose Engineering and Consulting Center of Excellence, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Contract Intake and Review:
- Receive and review incoming revenue contract requests from project managers.-
- Analyze contract terms and conditions for completeness and accuracy.-
- Identify and escalate any potential risks or areas requiring clarification.-
- Contract Management System and Analysis:
- Utilize Workday to efficiently store, track, and manage contracts.-
- Input contract data accurately and maintain detailed records.-
- Monitor projects-at-risk, providing feedback to operations on requirements to convert to billable projects.-
- Monitor contract value relative to revenue recognized, ensuring change orders are obtained in advance to ensure continuity of revenue recognition.-
- Generate reports on contracts as needed. Support management with revenue analysis and investigation.-
- Communication and Liaison:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties regarding contract updates, clarifications, and approvals.-
- Serve as a point of contact for questions related to the revenue contract setup process.-
- Process Efficiency and Improvement:
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the contract setup process.-
- Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and best practices. What We Are Looking For- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.- 2+ years of experience in project accounting, financial management, engineering or construction consulting, or related roles, preferably in a project-based environment.- Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, and project budgeting.- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience in project accounting modules preferred. Workday experience is an asset.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- A strong attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.- Displays a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
