**Some of what you will do**:
The Translation Specialist is responsible for assessing and executing translation and proofreading requests efficiently to ensure delivery of timely, consistent and quality translations. The work of our Translation team supports all aspects of our Business. You may handle translations for our training materials, advertising/branding materials, online and print marketing, signage, corporate communications and more.
**Specifically, You Will**:
- Work with cross-functional teams to provide translation services as required.
- Provide translation support on key consumer-facing and corporate documents.
- Ensure timelines for translation projects, provide suggestions for improvements in translation content where necessary.
- Assess translation requests for completeness, complexity and accuracy
- Plan, schedule and monitor assigned translation projects.
- Ensure Staples brand guidelines are met for all projects.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders and respond in a timely and professional manner to queries and requests.
- Required to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Work collaboratively with members of the translation team, reviewing colleagues’ translations and providing constructive comments
**Some of what you need**:
- Post secondary education with a focus in languages or translation studies.
- 2-4 years of prior translation experience in a corporate or marketing environment
- Ability to plan and manage your work independently
- Has a keen understanding and awareness for consistency in translations, attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of French language and English language.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and collaboratively with employees at every level and functional area of the organization as well as with external stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proficient with Trados Studio translation software and Trados Team Cloud is an asset
- Proficient with Antidote
- Proficient with online resources (Vitrine linguistique / Termium / etc.)
