Job description:

- Inspecting trailers to diagnose problems and performing necessary repairs.
- Identifying parts and repairs needed, relaying information to the Service Manager for customer quotes.
- Must have working knowledge of trailer brakes, lighting and wiring.
- Installing and repairing the interior and exterior components.
- Installation of accessories on all types of trailers. (horse, stock, dump, tilt, flat deck, cargo, car haulers and toy trailers)
- Working on trailer body and structural components such as roofs, panels, windows, doors, vents, awnings, plumbing systems, electrical systems, charging batteries and some welding.
- Performing maintenance and repairs on trailers for MVI inspections.
- Troubleshooting, using manufacturer's specifications, and internet websites to assist in locating faults and performing repairs.
- Updating work orders per established procedures.
- Communicating with the Service Manager in order to ensure timely, efficient, and economical repairs.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Strong mechanical aptitude, and trouble shooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- We need someone who is detail-oriented, accurate and organized.
- Ability to handle stress and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task with good time management and organization skills.
- Good physical condition, confident, self-motivated, and a desire to set and achieve personal goals.
- Valid BC Driver’s License, with a clean Drivers Abstract
- Forklift experience is a definite asset
- Reliable and able to show up ready to work everyday
- Strong, positive references are needed in order to be hired for this long-term, full-time position.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
