The **Machine Operator** under mínimal supervision is responsible for the set up and daily operation of production machinery and to ensure the line is continuing at the desired optimal level.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Set up the machine including ensuring any calibration is completed.
- Clean production equipment ensuring all SOPs are followed.
- Report machinery malfunctions to the appropriate parties.
- Ensure all quality checks on the machine are done as per the required schedule and log statistics.
- Observe and adjust required production controls.
- Discard any products that are incorrectly packaged or damaged in specified rework bins.
- Lift packaged goods onto skid as required.
- Using pump trucks, transport pallets of packaged goods to specified areas within the warehouse for shipping.
- Ensure daily housekeeping is maintained.
- Ensure all activities are performed in safe manner.
- Assist with material handling (bring raw materials to production area).

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- No previous machine operator experience required
- Able to lift 35 lbs. on a regular/consistent basis.
- Able to handle 50 lbs.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Able to take instruction and direction well.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Able to read and write English to complete production logs.
- Quick paced and able to keep up with fast paced production lines.
- Team player.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Shift schedule: 5x8 Monday to Friday Evenings - Start Time 10:00pm to 6:30am. Hours may vary but no rotations.
- Working in cool and/or hot temperatures within the plant.
- Frequent bending, crouching and twisting.
- Constant standing throughout the day.
- Working with green coffee dust and exposure to noise levels above 90 decibels.
