**Job Purpose**:
Lar-Mex is currently seeking a full-time, driven and detail-oriented Procurement Clerk to join our Team. The Procurement Clerk is analytical in nature, detail oriented and adept at processing various administrative functions.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Create, verify, and manage Purchase Orders (PO) for bulk buying as well as day-to-day site material. Issue purchase orders for procurement of materials and equipment for jobs & subcontractors.
- Support the Procurement Manager when negotiating multiple pricing contracts with various subcontractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Estimation Department to extract material list per project.
- Research new materials for design and cost savings.
- Ensure all materials are delivered to site according to schedule and PO’s.
- Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources are available on all projects.
- Update all purchase information within database for all required jobs. Match suppliers Sales Orders Acknowledgement and maintain sub/supplier information on company management systems.
- Assist the Accounting Department when settling invoice discrepancies.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Qualification and Education**:

- Proficient in MS Office Suite of products.
- 1-2 years’ experience performing an administrative function for construction company.
- Effective communication skills in including verbal, written and presentation skills, bilingualist in French an asset.
- String negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge in Plumbing and PVF (Pipping-Valve-Fitting) would be an asset.
- Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes would be an asset.
- Knowledge of SamPro software or similar would be an asset

**Education**:

- Degree or Diploma in a related field of study.
