We are currently looking for a Press room Supervisor to complete our press team. Located in Scarborough, Ontario, our trade printing company specializes in advanced trade printing business and offers a complete printing services.

**CAREER OPPORTUNITY**:
This position is responsible for pressroom operations and supervising of pressroom staff during evening / night shift, under the direction of upper management, including ensuring efficient and quality-oriented production in a safe work environment while meeting departmental goals and expectations.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise workers in the press room. Provide support, counseling, positive reinforcement, and direction when needed
- Assists press operators with starting jobs by calling rotations, giving positions, and getting color ok’s as quickly as possible (approve color, register, position, etc.)
- Ensures crews have all necessary materials to do their jobs before job goes on press (plates, stock, ink, chemicals, etc); if not, locates missing items
- Revises production schedules and priorities in response to customer demand or as result of equipment failure or other operating problems
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production issues
- Strives for stated goals pertaining to press speeds and make ready times
- Identifies, documents, and drives departmental metrics for Productivity, Safety, Quality, Scrap and any other metrics required by the Company
- Ensures compliance to all Company policies and procedures, continually participating in company LEAN manufacturing training and audits
- Coaches and assists employees to do their jobs to the best of their ability
- Develops methods of enhancing morale and promoting teamwork within the Press Department as well as among other departments
- Performs other job duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years of sheet fed press experience
- Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
- Able to pass color vision and hue test
- Must have demonstrated ability to do the jobs he/she is supervising or to quickly gain a working knowledge of those jobs
- Requires basic computer skills
- Have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or scheduled form
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation

**Experience**:

- Offset Printing: 3 years (preferred)
