**Job Summary**:
The laborer will work closely with the rakerman in providing a quality mat between the paver and the roller. The laborer will also be required to assist the operators (Paver, Screed, and Roller) and Foreman with any help they may require completing their tasks efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for maintaining the quality of the mat by filling holes, raking, sweeping and get it ready for the rolling operation.
- Responsible for ensuring all the necessary tools are ready to go on the appropriate trucks for the day ahead.
- Aid the paver operator, screed operator, roller operator and foreman to enable them to focus on their jobs.
- Assist in keeping all the equipment fueled, watered, greased, and cleaned
- Assist in lining up trucks as they wait to bring mix to the paver
- Assist the paver operator and truck driver in dumping mix into the paver, helping assist the truck driver to prevent bumping the paver, and making sure the tailgate opens properly so mix in dumped smoothly and evenly, reducing the chance for segregation and truck running away from the paver.
