Behavioural Care Plan Alert

**OVERVIEW**
The Behavioral Care Plan Alert (BCPA) Clinical Trainer will be responsible for leading the development, standardization, implementation and evaluation of the Behavioural Care Plan Alert system across the organization. The BCPA clinical trainer will workwith key stakeholders, as required to incorporate behavioural care plans into the electronic chart, develop a training curriculum and deliver the educational sessions to clinicians. This role requires the foundational knowledge and clinical expertise tomentor leaders and educators to be able to role model for their own staff.
The BCPA Clinical Trainer will report to the Director of Quality, Research and Corporate Governance, and will be accountable to the Chief Nurse Executive and Workplace Violence Prevention Committee.
This role is a temporary full-time position, with an expected term of 12 months.
**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing or Allied Health discipline
- Master’s degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience an asset
- A member in good standing with the respective regulatory college
- Adult Education Certificate an asset
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a clinical role in a hospital setting, preferably with experience as a clinical educator
- Project management and change management education and experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead effective change management
- The ability to inspire staff to get excited to learn and maintain engagement through a well-planned and expertly delivered training and orientation program
- Excellent written and verbal communication; a strong listener, speaker and presenter with experience in facilitating group educational sessions.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain flexibility, prioritize workload and remain detail orientated in the face of changing priorities.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with the patient care process from a holistic systems perspective, complemented by a strong interest in transformative initiatives
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proven attendance record
