Job Duties: Carries out resident Activity programs; teaches the techniques of related activities to residents; lifts, transfers, porters and ambulates participants to and from activities using mechanical aids, when needed; operates a bus for community outings; provides direction to volunteers; assists with Activities of Daily Living including assistance with feeding residents if required; other related duties as required; maintaining a positive, professional attitude and conduct.
Job qualifications: Grade 12; Graduate of a recognized Recreational Program or Activity Certificate plus two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; Class 4 Driver’s License valid in B.C; valid First Aid/CPR certificate.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Related Computer skills
