Support Worker

A lovely family needs a Direct Support Provider for a young man in the Maidstone area.

He loves swimming, going in the hot tub, bowling board games, music and visiting Bluewater Pools on Dougal He also enjoys visiting new places where he can meet new people. He has enjoyed vacations that involve water slides and campfires. He is looking for someone who enjoys physical activity and who would like to assist him in becoming more involved in his community through volunteer work or recreation activities.

He also likes to dance, visit Skyzone, visit parks and go for walks. You must enjoy cooking and baking. This happy young man needs someone who is compassionate, is trustworthy and is creative with planning fun activities to engage in.

Personal Care is required.

Experience with Mindfulness and compassionate care preferred. Ability to deescalate anxious behaviour is an asset.

Hours are Monday -Friday 7am-3pm and occasional weekend. Some overnights.

Training will be provided with the family.

You must have a vehicle to get to the families home, however you will have access to the families vehicle to do community activities.

You must provide 3 references and a vulnerable sector police clearance.

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
