We’re looking for a seasoned **Technical Writer** to join our team and be part of our next stage of growth. The Technical Writer will be focused on building the foundation and internal architecture necessary to sustain and maintain standardized product documentation. They will create documentation about how the product works, with the ultimate goal of increasing and streamlining user adoption.

**Skills**

Traction Rec'rs come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from diverse backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

- 5 years of experience translating technical, complex systems or processes into easy to understand resources for end users.
- 3-5 years of experience researching, creating, and maintaining information architecture and developing organizational standards for technical documentation
- 5 years of experience working closely with various departments to research, outline, write, and edit content in order to understand product requirements
- Strong ability to work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage
- Ability to develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation

**What You Will Be Doing**
- Develop comprehensive documentation architecture and standards that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into acceptable language for user success
- Develop and maintain detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement
