**Position**: Ladies Fashion Apparel Buyer

The Ladies Fashion Apparel Buyer works with the Buying Team to plan and select product to sell in our Retail Stores. You would be responsible for:
**Job Functions**:

- Plan and manage open to buy, forecast sales, gross margin and control flow of inventory.
- Plan and create the programs, quantify the styles and color selection for the specified categories.
- Analyze history trend and current business trend in order to forecast future buys.
- Maintain information on market trends regarding price and fashion and react accordingly to assist in the impact of sales.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and source new suppliers for future product.
- Negotiate and make decisions to buy.
- Place orders and ensure merchandise is properly received.
- Travel as required on a regular basis.
- Maintain and update data, reports required by buying team.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a minimum 5 years’ experience as a Retail Apparel Buyer
- Ability to travel several times a year (US / Overseas)
- Must be creative with an entrepreneurial mind set
- Must have effective negotiating skills
- Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of AS400 an asset.

**Location**:Toronto, ON

**Job Type**:Full-time

**Schedule**:

- 40 hours per week-Monday to Friday
- Holidays and Weekends (occasionally)
- Should be available for overtime hours if required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
