Storyboard Revisionist

Slap Happy Cartoons is one of Vancouver's fastest growing animation studios and bolsters an exceptional portfolio, having worked with, and currently working with some of the world's leading development partners; Netflix, Warner Bros, Corus Entertainment, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, and more. We're currently looking for revisionists to join our team on an exciting new series based on a beloved children’s book series.

THE ROLE:

- Work with Storyboard Supervisor or Director to revise existing storyboard panels and / or sequences as directed
- Respond to notes and translate revisions during storyboard review and animatic process
- Enforce the quality and style of the show and make sure it is consistently achieved in your drawing
- Implement all notes given
- Read scripts and be familiar with story, style, aesthetic and comedy

YOU ARE:

- Experienced with storyboarding and storyboard revisions in episodic series
- Thorough in ensuring all directions and notes are executed in detail
- Able to work within a fast paced series production schedule and adapt to changes easily within a highly dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented, technically inclined and solution-oriented with strong problem solving skills

YOU HAVE:

- Excellent drawing skills
- Strong sense of acting and timing
- Strong understanding of staging and composition
- Strong character key posing skills and ability to maintain characters and expressions on model.
