Position Overview:
**Job Description**:

- Perform all aspects of Facility Maintenance including those required of the applicant’s Red Seal certification.
- Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance and day to day repairs
- Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
- Complete contractor orientations and ensure that the work performed aligns to safety policies and is accomplished with a minimum distribution to operations
- Steam pad wastewater compliance (operation and treatment of equipment wash water)
- HVAC equipment PM servicing and repair,
- Operation of fire alarm panel,
- Perform maintenance and installation of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Perform maintenance and installation of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems,
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality,
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed,
- Perform manual repairs when necessary and as qualified (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Work with pest control vendors to provide site related input and assistance, - General yard upkeep
- Perform additional job duties as requested

**Qualifications**:

- Possess Red Seal Journeyperson designation as an Electrician OR HVAC Technician with Electrical endorsement, OR Instrumentation & Control Technician with electrical endorsement, Or Red Seal Journeyman designation in building trades with electrical endorsement
- Experience in all facets of building maintenance, and knowledge of electrical components and shop equipment,
- Highly motivated and able to work independently,
- Experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and industrial controls would be asset, as well as electrical service experience
