This multi-disciplinary team works closely with probation services, community agencies and contracted service providers, as well as Youth Custody Services staff to deliver Court-ordered assessments. Join us in making a significant impact by supporting youth who are navigating complex legal and mental health challenges. **The Role** **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience Requirements**: - Must have Grade 12 or equivalent and must have post-secondary credit courses such as: community mental health worker, behavioural sciences, child and youth care, child care counselling, social work, psychology, or nursing, etc. - Must have 6 months relevant experience in residential youth care, security, mental health or forensic psychiatric related work. - Must have current certificate in CPR. - An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered. **Preference May be Given to Applicants with**: - Experience with CIPR (Crisis Intervention and Physical Restraints) or equivalent training. - Certificate or diploma in community mental health work, behavioural sciences, child and youth care, child care counselling, social work, psychology, or nursing, or equivalent. - Experience in behaviour management with adolescents. **Willingness Statements**: - Must be able to work in close proximity to potentially aggressive, violent or otherwise unpredictable youth. **About this Position**: 2 permanent opportunities available. This position has full time on-site requirements. This is a shift work position and applicants must be able to work a combination of days, evenings and nights. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
