Hostel Receptionist

Downtown Montreal Hostel looking for someone available as soon as possible and ready to commit on a long-term basis.

We are a fun & hip hostel in Montreal, in the heart of the Latin Quarter of the city and we're looking for a new team member

Job type: Full time
Hours: start as early as 8:00 (AM) and can finish as late as 01:00 (AM)

Shifts: 8 hours

**Salary**: starting at 16$

*15$ during initial training period (max 3 months), and then adjusted based on experience.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Greeting visitors, answering telephone
- Processing incoming reservations
- Checking guests in and out, explaining the hostel facilities and services
- Informing guests of city events and points of interests
- Handling cash procedures
- Ensuring cleanliness of the reception and public areas
- Excellent customer service experience
- The ability to communicate comfortably in both French and English
- Ability to multitask and handle fast paced environment
- Accurate cash handling experience
- Excellent verbal communications
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
- Ability to operate computers and office equipment
- Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly
- Ability to handle pressure with poise and finesse
- Ability to deal with security issues, firmly and quickly
