Burlington, Canada Cats Only Bed & Breakfast Full time

Seeking a part time Animal Care Attendants for a exclusive Cats Only Bed & Breakfast nestled in the countryside of North Burlington. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills, be hard-working and be able to work both in a team enviroment as well as individually. Applicants must be able to multi-task easily. Having at least 1 year work experiance in a professional pet care postition such as kennel, vet, groomer, or shelter is a bonus. Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays, more hours during busy time such as summer and holidays may be needed. Applicants must have reliable transportation in order to get to work.

Job Requirements:

- Suite care: providing basic care including feeding, cleaning, disinfecting, medications, and pleasure grooming.
- Provide guests with their food and water.
- Assist in guest care including medicating or providing care as directed.
- Keeping updated records and documentation on all guests.
- Answering phones and making appointments.
- Check in / Check out clients, take vaccination history, dietary and medication instructions.
- Properly holding and restraint of cats.
- Daily and on going cleaning and disinfecting of the facilities including but not limited to floors, laundry, taking out the trash and recycling, cleaning common areas, bathroom, kitchens, empting and reloading dishwashers and cleaning litterpans.
- Must be able to lift up to 22kgs.
- Ability to manage physical requirements of navigating stairs while carrying items and being able to bend down or kneel regularly. Must be able to use a step ladder safely.
- Setting up suites for incoming guests and cleaning out suites of guests that have left.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

- Evening shift

- On call
- Weekend availability

All our guest drop offs and pick ups are booked by appointment only.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burlington, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary assistant/kennel/animal rescue: 1 year (preferred)
