Sodding Foreman

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and supervise a crew of workers in grading and sodding tasks, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Operate and maintain trucks and heavy equipment (e.g., graders, skid steers, sod cutters) safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and provide clear instructions to crew members
- Ensure proper site preparation, including grading, leveling, and soil compaction, to support sod installation.
- Oversee sodding processes, including measuring, cutting, and laying sod for optimal results.
- Monitor crew performance, enforce safety protocols, and maintain a clean and organized work site.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and crew members to ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Manage inventory of materials and tools required for grading and sodding tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a foreman or supervisor in landscaping, construction, or related field, with a focus on grading and sodding.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as graders, skid steers, and compactors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a crew.
- Knowledge of grading techniques, soil preparation, and sod installation best practices.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and ability to enforce compliance on job sites.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform manual labor as needed.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project demands.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in heavy equipment operation or landscaping.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and blueprints.

**Work Environment**:

- Full-time position with potential for overtime during peak seasons.
- Work is primarily outdoors, involving exposure to weather, dust, and noise.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
