Graduate Cfd Consultant

Assist in developments of the CFD team by performing CFD projects
- Support project management including monitoring of projects with an emphasis on delivery, schedule and efficiency tracking
- Liaise and work with other discipline leads in order to develop the CFD business
- Liaise with third parties and clients as required
- Ensure that design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements and / or those issued by Wood
- Be responsible for the checking of process calculations in accordance with Wood quality assurance procedures
- Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
- Minimum of Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field is required; advanced degree (majoring in CFD) a strong asset
- Previous experience in CFD simulations for Oil & Gas Industry required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with using Commercial CFD software (ANSYS or Star-CCM) to conduct solid modelling and meshing for complex geometries
- Demonstrated understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer in multiphase flows
- Understanding of combustion phenomena (in fired heaters) an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to write technical reports
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood.
