- Complete weekly employee schedules to meet the needs of the business.
- Direct employees to ensure that they are making customers feel welcome by providing professional customer service at all times.
- Provide thorough and accurate knowledge of meat products and services.
- Address special situations or requests and customer concerns/ complaints efficiently and effectively.
- Complete customer orders and make recommendations to customers on various items and complete customer purchases.
- Share knowledge of different meat cooking techniques with customers and employees.
- Perform merchandising activities to enhance appeal of products and maximize sales by preparing displays of meat, maintaining self
- and full-service displays, and determining amount and freshness of products.
- Ensure quality of products by conducting quality control measures, performing inspections and adhering to company standards.
- Ensure employees are following all health, safety and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure proper food storage and follow Food & Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Order products as per process, requirements and direction from buyer.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Minimum of 2 to 3 years working and managing a meat department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building and leadership skills.
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
- Knowledge of different cuts of meats as well as cooking procedures.
- Proper knife handling skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and a high level of performance.
