**About Us** The Indigenous Primary Health Care Council (IPHCC) is an Indigenous-governed, culture-based and Indigenous-informed organization. Its key mandate is to support the advancement and evolution of Indigenous primary health care services provision and planning throughout Ontario. Membership includes Aboriginal Health Access Centres (AHAC), Aboriginal governed Community Health Centres (ACHC), other Indigenous governed providers and partnering Indigenous health researchers and scholars. **Overview** The OHT Engagement and Relationship Lead will work with the OHT Project Team to support the planning, design and implementation of engagement and outreach strategies to key stakeholders in Southern Ontario to understand the status of Indigenous participation in the OHT process and the need to inform the design, development, and implementation for an Indigenous OHT framework that can be scaled and spread. This position will participate in outreach and engagement activities and act as the liaison for IPHCC members participating in the project. They will be responsible for disseminating information to our members and providing guidance and tools to support members in conducting local engagement and building capacity to support their role in the OHT process. This position will work as part of a team to support the development of culturally appropriate tools and guidance to help members participate in the OHT process. **Responsibilities** - Develops, implements, and evaluates culturally appropriate outreach, engagement and communications strategies and plans to meet the IPHCC’s provincial and local Ontario Health Team framework and model objectives. - Develops information products such as notices, presentation decks, tools, and templates to support engagement processes. - Develops and manages tracking tools for information gathering and stakeholder engagement. - Disseminates relevant materials to stakeholders. - Coordinates with IPHCC communications to identify OHT key issues and information for dissemination through social media and other communication channels such as CEO messaging and weekly bulletins. - Represents the IPHCC on committees and working groups as needed and reports to the OHT Team and Leadership accordingly. - Identifies priorities, synergies and issues that impact the OHT development through participation in Indigenous and inter-governmental working groups, tables, and committees. - Supports the development of community partnerships. - Supports requirements gathering for OHT model development and tools, including governance frameworks, partnership frameworks, Anti-Racism and Inclusion strategies, government engagement protocols, provincial relationship charter and accountability framework, implementation plan and budget. - Makes decisions about prioritizing one's activities and participation in working groups and committees as assigned. - Collaborates with all IPHCC program areas and external consultants. - Prepares as required presentations, progress reports, updates, and briefing notes. - Files all documents generated on the SharePoint site - Other activities as assigned **Requirements**: - Post-secondary education in a health or social sciences field or equivalent combination of education, lived and related work experience. - Valid "G" class Driver's License - Demonstrated relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to develop networking processes between partners and key stakeholders to solicit input on communications initiatives, strategies, and products. - Ability to lead and direct work that demonstrates IPHCC's commitments to cultural safety and equity, diversity, and inclusion approaches. - Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize information and write concisely for various formats and channels. - Experience in or willingness to learn and understand how to frame processes and concepts through the Indigenous culture and world views. - Awareness of health issues and trends impacting Indigenous peoples. - Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, social media, content management systems and newsletter platforms. - Ability to maintain confidentiality, familiarity with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), principles of OCAP and other applicable privacy practices and legislation. - Strategic thinker. - Creative, resourceful and solutions-oriented. - A self-starter possessing the ability to work independently in a high-profile, time-sensitive environment and deal with competing priorities. - Must be an enthusiastic and energetic team player who works collaboratively and diplomatically in a complex multi-stakeholder environment. - Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of audiences. - Sensitivity to the Indigenous culture. - High levels of integrity and ethical behaviour. - Ability to work in an environment with interruptions, changing priorities and circumstances where competing priorities
