Requisition ID: 194444 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Purpose** The Director, Business & Strategic Initiatives is a key member of the Mobile Advice Team (MAT) leadership team, collaborating to develop and prioritize business initiatives that support growth opportunities and improve business profitability and productivity. Initial areas of focus include practice and portfolio optimization standards, segmented advisor support strategy, development and roll out of leadership training, developing and implementing business-specific client segmentation/servicing standards, development of new DEI-focused recruitment tactics, and development of client experience enhancements. The Director manages project milestones, resource availability, and ensures successful delivery and effectiveness for all strategic initiatives. The Director represents the MAT business head in multifunctional, pan-Wealth/Retail business initiatives, including business planning and forecasting as required. **Is this role right for you? In this role you will**: - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. - Develop and implement change management plans that address the change impacts of the business, while minimizing stakeholder resistance and maximizing engagement. - Lead the development and delivery of communication and change management strategy, including partnerships with key stakeholders and execution of plans. - Partner with Marketing as it relates to the development, evolution and execution of Private Banking marketing strategies. - Manage the organization of strategy offsites/conferences for senior management to facilitate ongoing strategy discussions, as well as various training initiatives that span Private Banking. - Develop and implement a comprehensive leadership training program for Team Leads and business function Directors to support coaching and competency development. - Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders within the Bank to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives. - Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry trends, competitor positioning and opportunities related to growth and competitiveness. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Do you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role?
