Line Cooks Wanted

**Responsibilities**:
- Work well under pressure and with little supervision.
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
- Date all food containers and rotate as per restaurant standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
- Check par levels for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out of stock items or possible shortages.
- Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
- Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
- Ensure rotation of stock and the storage of all food items in accordance with health & safety regulations and company policy.
- Assist as requested with the receiving/putting away of food items.
- Carry out opening and closing duties applicable to the position and be competent in the completion of all duties within the shift.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning duties as delegated to maintain the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
- Be competent in the safe and efficient use of equipment in line procedures.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
