Electro-mechanical Assembler Npi

**Tasks to be Accomplished**
- Perform electrical/mechanical assembly on sub-assemblies to required quality and quantity outputs
- Perform parts installation, wiring and hand soldering
- Perform some optical assembly by fitting, cleaning and testing

**Skills Required**:

- Working knowledge of ISO 9000, AS 9100
- Knowledge of various test equipment, schematics and assembly drawings
- Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping, wire routing and mechanical assembly
- Good interpersonal and communication skills that translate to working in a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude for assembling major optical components

**Experience & Education Requirements**
- Community College Diploma in Electronics Technology an asset
- Experience in printed circuit board assembly and soldering through hole and surface mount technology an asset
- Some experience in cable and harness assembly
- Mechanical assembly experience is an asset
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing
- 1-3 years experience working in a high technology manufacturing environment
