SNC-Lavalin Inc. is seeking a Site Resident Quality Inspector to join our team. The Site Resident Quality Inspector reports operationally to the SNC-Lavalin Project Manager, including interfacing with the Client Project Manager. The SNC-Lavalin Project Manager will provide direction, project priorities and procedural support throughout the construction phase.

Location : 2.5 hours North of Timmins, Ontario in the client site_**

**_ Scheduled working hours : _**_Rotation (2weeks on & 1 _**_week_**_ off)_**_ _**

**How will you contribute to the team?**
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings.
- Participate in kick-off and progress inspection meetings with the contractor and client.
- Ensure compliance with best management practices and environmental guidelines established.
- Ensure construction support and surveillance during concrete pours, concrete removals and rebar installation.
- Coordination and participation with inspection test plans based in conjunction with the design team and client.
- Review and propose onsite solutions to change requests and concession requests, coordinating amongst SNCL and Client requests. Provide recommendation for approval or any changes.
- Monitor, prepare and ensure closure of surveillance reports, quality audit reports, non-conformances and observations.
- Other related duties required by the Project Manager.

**What will you contribute?**
- Minimum post-secondary graduation from a recognized technical program or a related discipline, supplemented by additional training in Quality Assurance I Quality Control, auditing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering Science or related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience associated with quality activities in QA/QC construction site supervision.
- Previous experience with Ontario region works/contracts considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction site principals with respect to health, safety and environmental guidelines.
- Self-starter, who identifies priority tasks, puts plans in place to complete, and delivers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of personnel, and other industry participants, both internal and external.
- Thrives to be an active team player, but can effectively work independently.
- Proven skills in effectively managing multiple tasks, often under pressure and within time constraints.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management principles and ISO 9001 standard.
- Ability to develop processes and procedures and articulate within the project organization.
- Demonstrated commitment and leadership to Quality Assurance issues.
- Ability to quickly assimilate new data, including highly technical information.
- P.Eng designation registered in the province of Ontario is not required but is considered an asset.
- Incumbent will be working at the project site located two hours north of Timmins, Ontario.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule.
