Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to Controller: Assisting Controller in day to day tasks

Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Prepare budgets and forecasts

Demonstrate confidence in IFRS, Cashflows and MD&A

Lead projects such as costing & ERP implementation

Demonstrate knowledge in Manufacturing accounting

Work as mentor for junior accountant(s)

GST/HST Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST/HST returns in compliance with Canadian tax laws. Maintain organized records of all GST/HST transactions, invoices, and supporting documentation for CRA audit purposes.

Monthly Closing: Prepare monthly G/L and be explainable to controller before posting

Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. and ensure all Schedules are confirming with Trial Balance

Be a quick leaner and able to work under pressure

Ad Hoc Support: Provide support to the finance team as needed, participating in special projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:
IFRS knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus CPA enrolled is a must

Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

**Salary**: $55,000-$65,000 Per year

Expected hours: 37.5 hours per week
