BSE Skateboarding & Coffee Bar is a small business in Kingston, ON K7L 1B3. Our goal is to provide a fun and inclusive space for our community to shop for skateboarding gear and/or grab a coffee with a friend and relax on our patio.

**Barista Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional customer service in both the Coffee Bar and skateboard retail sections of our shop
- Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, and food items with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including coffee bar seating areas and retail displays
- Collaborate with the team to create a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere that keeps customers coming back
- Executing opening and closing duties with care and consistency
- Upkeep of retail and baked good displays
- Coffee and merchandise knowledge, ability to engage and talk with customers about what they are looking for and what we offer.
- Maintaining the standards we hold in the coffee we serve. Ability to dial in espresso and care for our espresso machine and grinders.

**Supervisor Responsibilities**:
** Coffee Bar inventory, making sure stock is full and not running out of any supplies
- Keeping a cleaning schedule for the coffee bar and ensuring employees are maintaining the schedule and completing the jobs they are responsible for.
- Handling time off requests and some scheduling duties
- Special attention to espresso machine as well as keeping equipment in good working order and espresso dialled in.
- Responsible for shop merch inventory and re stocking

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in coffee and/or retail environments, minimum of one year experience in the coffee world
- Ability to make a multitude of drinks with consistency, accuracy and speed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for connecting with customers and the local community
- Flexibility to adapt to various roles and responsibilities within the coffee bar and retail sections of our shop
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, busy environment
- Eagerness to learn and grow with our business
