Employment Counselor

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Employment Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will assist individuals in navigating their career paths by providing guidance, resources, and support. You will play a crucial role in helping clients identify their strengths, develop job-seeking skills, and secure meaningful employment. Your expertise in interviewing and training development will be vital in empowering clients to achieve their career goals.

**Duties**
- Conduct comprehensive interviews with clients to assess their skills, interests, and career aspirations.
- Educate clients on effective job search strategies, including resume writing, interview preparation, and networking techniques.
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of clients to enhance their employability.
- Collaborate with local employers to identify job openings and any opportunities for clients.
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up with clients to track progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress within the organization’s database.
- Stay informed about labor market trends and employment resources to provide up-to-date information to clients.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in interviewing individuals for employment or educational purposes.
- Strong background in training development or facilitation is preferred.
- Familiarity with recruiting processes and employer expectations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- A commitment to helping others succeed in their career journeys is essential.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
