MILLER WASTE SYSTEMS - Pickering

**Title**: Part Time Scale Operator

**Location**: Pickering Transfer/Pebblestone/ Port Perry

**Reporting to**: Site Supervisor

**Shift**: Monday: 9:00am
- 6:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm, Vacation and Sick Day coverage hours will vary from 6:00am -7:00pm depending on location.

**Start Date**: ASAP

**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Scale Operator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act The weighing of vehicles IN and OUT at a reasonable pace to ensure accuracy of tickets and cash transactions
- You will perform visual inspections of loads at scale (only) for contamination purposes as well as direct traffic to proper drop off locations.
- You will familiarize yourself with products in order to assist customers with their needs
- You will review all tickets, cash register and global payments receipts to ensure they are correct and assist with paperwork as required, Answer telephone enquiries, take orders and direct calls.
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Punctual with good attendance
- Ensure you aware of and always work within MWS’s safety guidelines
- Assisting customers with directions, questions

**Requirements**:

- Must possess excellent entrepreneurial, verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Word and Excel, strong PC based systems knowledge; with excellent keyboarding skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Previous customer service/sales experience an asset
- Outstanding customer service is a key. You must be a team player, with

demonstrated safe working habits and a good attendance record.
- You may be required to work extended hours, Saturdays are also a must
- You will be required to stand for long periods of time
- You must be a team player
- General safe working habits are a must
- You may be required to work extended hours, so your own transportation is an asset
