Thunder Bay, Canada European Meats & Deli Full time

European Meats & Deli is a family run, locally owned, meat production plant with a deli store front. We are currently looking for a Deli Clerk - working any where from 24 to 40 hours a week. This position is DAY shift only - you must be able to work full 8 hour days (shifts are Monday to Friday 9-5:30pm and Saturdays 9-4pm (closed Sundays). If you are not able to work as stated please DO NOT APPLY.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner
- Demonstrates superior customer service
- Process cash register payments by cash, debit, credit card and gift certificate
- Some hot and cold food preparation (example - sandwiches, deli trays, etc)
- Use of commercial power equipment, including slicers and oven
- Write product orders
- Receiving and rotation of product
- Filling shelves and showcases

**Job Requirements**
- Ability to learn quickly
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Most be highly motivated and team oriented
- Communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form
- Strong customer service skills
- Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times
- Must be able to work full 8 hour days (shifts are Monday to Friday 9-5:30pm and Saturdays 9-4pm)
- Previous experience is considered an asset

**Physical Requirements**
- Constant lifting of up to 10 lbs
- Constant standing, reaching, gripping
- Frequent bending, walking, twisting, pushing or pulling
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
