About the Team:
Doherty & Associates Operations is responsible for the assets under management for both private client and institutional business units. The Operations team is critical to the success of the Client Service Team at Doherty & Associates and must:

- Ensure that the needs of the Senior Management Team and the end clients are accurately and professionally met within the established timeframes.
- Be committed to providing superior investment management administration, customer service and communication to all internal and external business contacts.
- Maintain data integrity in accordance with corporate best practices and industry guidelines / standards / regulations.

About the Role:
Are you a passionate financial services or accounting administrator with an eye for detail? If so, our Operations team has an exciting opportunity for you. Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, you will have responsibility for cash management of client accounts. This role has the opportunity to provide career growth and exposure to all aspects of the investment management business.

Your Responsibilities:

- Monitoring cash balances on a daily basis
- Raising funds (sell MM or request the investment department to sell securities) for cash requests / auto remittances / settlement of trade purchases)
- Input transactions to the system
- Instructing and/or posting of BA and money market purchases
- Maintain and request auto-remittances (DR and CR), quarterly tax instalments and RIF payments
- Manage and request foreign exchange for cash between CA and US accounts
- Record, monitor and maintain spreadsheets to track contributions (RSP and TFSA)
- Create Letter of Directions for all third party payments. Complete and submit the required information to the custodian regarding third party deposits.
- Ensure that all requests are processed, cheques for deposit are sent and received by the custodian and deposited.

Your Qualifications:

- Post secondary education, if you have the Canadian Securities Course, this is considered an asset;
- 3-5 years of experience in the financial industry; experience in a retail banking environment or as a broker’s assistant would be an asset
- Previous experience in financial services; familiarity with a variety of financial/investment accounts is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- An eye for detail;
- High initiative and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment;
- Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
- Ability to work independently and within established guidelines;
- Ability to build strong relationships with individuals inside and outside of the organization and at all levels;
- Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
