Disability Support Worker Complex Residential/community

Seeking complex disability service worker for an individual that is under a Family Managed Support Model. Shifts available with adult male with complex behavior challenges. The following are the positions needing to be filled:
**Position Monday - Friday Weekends Day & Evening Shifts**

Job duties
- support with daily living skills in a residential setting.
- Model appropriate behavior at all times. This includes very **limited phone use while on shift.**:

- transport to activities and/or community outings and/or volunteering positions
- Learn and follow written goals as set out by the family as well as any behavior support plans to promote success for all. **This requires proficiency in the English language both written and verbal. N0 exceptions**:

- **Show enthusiasm for your role.**:

- **Will require personal care.**:

- **Be comfortable with and have experience supporting individuals with behavioral challenges**:

- **Show compassion and empathy.**:

- **Be able to adapt quickly to changing situations.**:

- Have to ability to use sound judgment.

**Qualifications**:

- 24 years of age or older
- Police Record Check to include the vulnerable sector.
- 2 million dollar PLPD liability vehicle insurance.
- Provide proof of insurance
- First Aid/CPR

**Summary**

As a Disability Support Worker in a complex residential and community setting, you will be essential in providing compassionate care to an individual with disabilities. Reporting to the administrator, your role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for the client through personalized support in activities of daily living. Your core skills in caregiving, along with premium expertise working with challenging behaviors, will be vital in meeting the unique needs of the individual. Additionally, your relevant skills in meal preparation and medication administration will ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the young man you will be supporting

Pay: $18.50-$21.90 per hour
