**Lumber Merchandising Associate (Warehouse/Yard) - Steinbach Branch**

This position will be working with our outside operations in the yard and warehouse and is responsible for stocking merchandise including cleaning and organizing to help provide the best Customer Service Experience for our customers. This position’s schedule will include Monday to Friday shifts of 12 noon to 8 pm and a Saturday rotation. Saturday shift will be 8am to 4pm and you will receive one day off during the week when scheduled Saturday.

As a valuable member of our team your duties will include:

- Picks and stages merchandise for delivery as per customer orders and documents order changes and files appropriately
- Loads and unloads merchandise in a manner that suits space requirements and eliminates any damage to merchandise
- Organize and straighten open lifts of lumber
- Stock merchandise in yard and warehouse upon arrival to the facility
- Ensures yard and warehouse are neat and merchandise has signage including special orders
- Operates forklift in a safe manner
- Performs general yard cleanup and maintenance as required
- As required guides customers through their purchase process in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
- This position requires lifting product as well as bending, reaching, pushing and pulling motions and you would be on your feet for most of each shift
- Show a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Be physically able to repeatedly lift/carry over 50lbs
- The ability to work in a team environment is essential
- Previous merchandising experience is preferred and knowledge of lumber building materials is an asset but not required
- Must enjoy a fast paced environment
- Valid Class 5 drivers license
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including the Health and Safety program
