**Your opportunity**:
Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a non-profit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science
- and technology-based companies. Its mission is to accelerate the commercialization of science for the betterment of humankind. CDL is a global program with sites at Oxford, Paris, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Halifax, Atlanta, Seattle, Wisconsin, Estonia, and Berlin. The program’s objective-setting process enhances the performance of technical founders who learn from the insights of experienced entrepreneurs, increasing their probability of success. Each stream within each CDL site hosts a series of 4 annual objective-setting sessions that are the primary mechanisms by which the program is delivered. CDL sessions are complex, full-day events that may be hosted virtually or in person and that bring together participating start-ups, mentors, partners, and business students. At the end of each annual program cycle, CDL hosts a two-day event called Super Session that brings together graduating start-ups as well as mentors, partners, and students from across the network.

As the Venture Recruitment Lead for CDL-Toronto, you will be responsible for working closely with the Venture Recruitment managers to plan and execute a thorough venture recruitment plan for all Toronto streams throughout the year. You will supervise and organize recruitment activities across the Toronto streams ensuring that objectives are achieved, and offer recruitment advice to CDL team members when required.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Fostering CDL site engagement and maintaining relationships with recruitment managers
- Analyzing and documenting successes and adjustments to project implementation activities
- Serving as a resource on specific issues to all recruitment managers
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making
- Advising on long-term market growth and outreach strategies
- Analyzing statistical informationto evaluate the performance of programs and/or partnerships
- Liaising with CDL Sites to encourage the use of best practices and consistent brand messaging

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree focused on technology, commerce, economics, entrepreneurship, administration, or management; or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum five (5) years recent and related work experience in external relations, strategic community development, business development, stakeholder relations and/or venture management, with a combination of project, program and product management
- Significant customer service experience is required including confidence working with high performing teams and multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated work experience in the entrepreneurial ecosystem with startups, technology companies, or venture capital is preferred, including a strong understanding of business models and drivers of success in startups
- Experience leading a sales team, and developing and managing sales processes in a sales operations role
- Experience working with CRM, Salesforce preferred
- Entrepreneurial and highly motivated with a strong interest instartups; knowledge of the startup ecosystem and experience evaluating startups
- Highly organized with strong project management and strategic planning experience
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work effectively in a complex, dynamic, and sophisticated organization
- Demonstrated professionalism, tact, and maturity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to build relationships and foster collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects or priorities simultaneously
- Passionate about working with science
