Full-time Café Line Cook

We are looking for an experienced full-time café line cook to join our team.

**You MUST have at least 4 years of previous bakery, cafe and food service experience in a cafe-type setting** and be **confident to work independent in a small BOH team.**

You will follow bake-off in the morning and early afternoon, a production and prep schedule throughout the day, while primarily working line cook for food orders as they come in. You must know how to track inventory levels and make new production lists, ordering lists and follow accurate recipes and opening/closing procedures. Communication, quality control and pace are going to be abilities that allow you to succeed. You must also have previous experience and the acumen to thrive working solo or in a two person team in a kitchen.

Shifts are 5:30am-1:30pm or 12pm-8pm and you’ll work 4-5 days per week with a fairly set schedule once training is complete.

We are a café and make café-type baked goods as well as our own sauces, syrups, and drink ingredients. We also offer a made-to-order food menu of breakfast sandwiches, granola, lunch sandwiches and salad, we have a handful of happy hour share plates 4-7pm daily as well.

We are a small, but very busy café that has a strong team of experienced bakers, line cooks and baristas who work well together. Our operations are nicely put together and the position is best suited for someone who is self-directed and fits into the vibe and culture of our space.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in a bakery AND food preparation role

- Opening display of all baked goods before the cafe opens.
- Ensuring care is taken for all ingredients and displaying proper technique and safe handling.
- Responsible for creating and following standardized recipes and portioning for completed dishes.
- Inventory, cleaning, organizing, and maintenance.
- Ensures correct use, storage, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and facility.
- Responsible for working in a clean, and organized manner.
- Complies with local food safety regulations.
- Inventory tracking and list development
