Catheter Shaft Prototyping Technician

Based in Vaudreuil and reporting to the Director of Research and Development, the Catheter Shaft Prototyping Technician will play a critical role in the process of developing solutions for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:
Engage with the customer team at the earliest stages of design/prototyping to provide input on technical solutions for the customer’s needs.

Build catheter shaft prototypes (1-off to large development volumes).

Provide input for reporting and collaborating with our customers and with other areas of expertise at Steer Medical.

Develop and execute technical solutions for prototyping with an eye towards eventual manufacturing including processes and procedures.

Maintain records and reports consistent with our ISO 13485 quality system.

**Qualifications**:
Proficiency in catheter assembly technologies, including braiding, coiling, reflow lamination, laser welding and catheter bonding assembly is essential.
Basic proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus, familiarity with MS Office products is a must.
Proven technical capability in catheter prototyping technology and the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally on the topic is a must.
Ability and eagerness to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Self-starter with a bias towards well communicated, excellent execution.
High-school diploma is required, a 2-3 year technical certificate is a plus.
