**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Team Lead is there to assist the Production Supervisor in the execution of daily schedule and provide status reports. Communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams. They escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team and provide guidance to the team based on management direction. They are also there to provide direction, instruction, training, and guidance. This position plays a huge role in developing the skills of our associates while monitoring/assisting activities such as standardize setups, teardowns, cleaning & In-Process work across all shifts.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TRAINER**:

- Training of all new and existing associates using the ‘Job Instruction’ method
- Directly observe the trainee’s work and provide constructive timely feedback to reinforce good practice, identify areas for improvement and enable the trainee to evaluate their own performance and progress
- Provide record of trainee progress and achievements to the Training Coordinator and Supervisor daily through Job Instruction Guide reporting
- Identifying training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of all operators
- Communicating the correct steps from the Job Breakdown and handle any questions from trainees
- Help trainee develop skills needed to produce the required output safely, efficiently and within the specifications outlined by the QCP
- Critically examining the trainees’ understanding and progress and making necessary adjustments to the training program
- Identify opportunities to improve process safety, productivity, and quality
- Identify opportunities to improve training material
- Report any gaps or improvements needed in the training program or material.
- Other duties as instructed by the Production Supervisor when training is not needed
- Attend training meetings or other meetings as required
- Participate in sign-off for associates’ completion of training

**RESPONSIBILITIES AS A LEAD**:

- Report and communicate daily to the Production Supervisor and Production manager at end of shift status of Production schedule, including exceptions
- Report any RRT’s or non-conformance product in associated area
- Complete NCR and RRT documentation as needed
- Complete Audits to ensure Quality product as instructed
- Ensure work area is safe and communicate any unsafe situations to Production Supervisor as required
- Help to create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
- Help to provide the team with a vision of the project objectives
- Help to motivate and inspire team members
- Lead by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Completion of high school or equivalent is preferred
- A passion for training and development is an asset.
- Experience as a team lead, trainer or other related fields are required.
- Must be fully trained and deemed competent within the area of responsibility
- Must be able to read, write and speak English and possess basic math skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to understand problems, convey ideas, and conduct training
- Must be able to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

ž Eye and hearing protection may be required at times

ž Walking, standing, sitting

**Night shift 7pm - 7am, continental rotation of days.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.90-$23.00 per hour
