Reporting to the Superintendent, the individual will be responsible to support the excavation/backfill and corresponding utility install activities within the Lower Mainland, BC region.
- Responsible for the successful completion of utility install projects including, excavating within 1m of live utilities, utility line exposure, debris removal, trenching, excavation of sensitive underground utilities.
- Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensure all equipment and components are in good working condition always. Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly. Report any deficiencies to the Supervisor.
- Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Experience operating a mini
- excavator up to 45T as well as rubber tire backhoe.
- Experience working for a gas utility or gas utility contractor is an asset.
- Capacity for manual dexterity with physical strength and stamina.
- Capability to work long hours per day in all weather conditions.
- Strong interpersonal, team participation and communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.49-$39.03 per hour

- Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
