The Limestone District School Board is situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, the Limestone District School Board serves more than 20,000 students in 55 schools and 5 education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist in duties as necessary to operate the school cafeteria.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock areas for service - fridges/displays
Cook short-order food items eg. Breakfast dishes
Collect cash when selling food prepared in cafeteria
Prepare sandwiches and salads and help with other preparation duties.
Ensure food items are put away after lunch service
Operate commercial dishwasher (set up, shutdown and clean).
Hand wash pots and pans and setup/put away all dishes, utensils and pots and pans.
Perform general cleaning duties such as clean sanitize equipment and work stations.
Other related duties consistent with the level of responsibility of the position as assigned by Food Services teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary school graduation diploma.
Food Service Worker Certificate or equivalent certification
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Knowledge of Industrial Kitchen Equipment
Demonstrated ability to work with young people. Ability to prepare food for large groups
Experience in the Food Service Industry in food preparation.
